Router Troubleshooting - Firmware Update
How to update the firmware on an AX10 (works for most TP-Link Routers).
Connect to the Router
Ensure your device is connected to the router, either via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
Log in to the Router's Web Interface
Open a web browser and enter http://tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. Enter your admin username and password when prompted.
Access System Tools
Once logged in, navigate to Advanced > System Tools > Firmware Upgrade.
Check for the Latest Firmware
Select Check for Upgrade to see if a new firmware version is available. Alternatively, you can download the latest firmware from TP-Link’s support site by searching for the AX10 model.
Download and Save the Firmware
If downloading from the website, save the firmware file to an easy-to-access location on your computer.
Upgrade Firmware
In the router’s web interface, click Browse and select the downloaded firmware file. Then click Upgrade. The process may take a few minutes, so don’t turn off or restart the router.
Reboot the Router
Once the update completes, the router will reboot automatically.
Confirm the Update
After rebooting, log back into the router interface to verify the firmware version under System Tools > Firmware Upgrade.
This completes your firmware update!
